Something Old, Something New.

i don't know about you, but i love the winter. its' hands down the best time to just stop and look at the stars.
no matter how crazy things get in your life., always take a moment and enjoy the beauty around you.

so., what in the fresh hell does this have to do with nail polish you ask?, take another look at the photo above. it depicts my 2 favorite constellations in the winter sky, orion., and the seven sisters that make up the constellation known as the pleiades.,
in greek mythology the pleiades were seven sisters: maia, electra, alcyone, taygete, aterope, celaeno and merope. their parents were atlas, a titan who held up the sky, and the oceanid pleione, the protectress of sailing. after a chance meeting with the hunter orion, the pleiades and their mother became the object of his relentless pursuit. enamoured with the young women, he pursued them over the face of the earth. in pity for their plight, zeus changed them into a flock of doves, which he set in the heavens.

and here are their CrowsToes namesakes:

  12. These are simply gorgeous! I have just discovered your jaw dropping polishes and I am looking forward to adding them to my indie collection. Discovering that you are an artist was no surprise, however I must tell you that I love the artwork you shared. I've been an art teacher for 17 years and when I saw swatches of your polishes on Llarowe, I was entranced by the color combinations you chose. I'm so happy I found you! :)

    2. Finishing a Masters in Fine Art/Painting would definitely be fantastic. I know it would take up a lot of time, but I think you should go for it! :D I've taught K-12 for a couple years and am currently teaching K-8 right now, which I loooove. :) Being around all of my growing, creative artists makes every day an amazing and rewarding adventure. BTW, I just ordered Absolum & Cheshire from Llarowe...I can't wait to get them on my nails!!
